CWA are advancing proposals for a new private residence overlooking the estuary of Belgooly River. The house is conceived as a simple ‘pavilion’ sitting in the horizontal landscape of the estuary. The living and bedroom spaces are orientated to the views and light, while support spaces such as bathrooms and utility rooms are positioned together in a function block that faces north. The proposed cladding of corten steel references the rusted corrugated steel roofing of the existing ruinous cottage.
